The 936 steps

There is wifi on the bus, what a luxury. You would think these schoolteachers would be all grown up but even they will txt from the front to the back now we have wifi on the bus.

And the countryside is fabulous all green with ripe wheat and barley fields and red barns ( I want a barn ) and white farmhouses. We have seen sheep and cows when they are let outside for some fresh air, and also a cute goat family in their own little summer house .

At the outdoor museum we visited with authentic farming family in 1770 house and sat in the church which still holds weekly services.

Then after reindeer lunch we visited the Olympic ski jump and climbed the 936 steps to the top - I couldn't look down let alone jump off on skis !!!!!!. Lillyhammer is a vey pretty town with wooden houses and lakeside views. The kids were at soccer training or riding their skis around town.
The rugosa roses are out in fuschia coloured bloom and the geraniums in window boxes look beautiful. Raspberries and blueberries grow in the wilder gardens and all is lovely - until the winter time and then I think it's pretty but too cold. It's 8.54 pm and sun is still low in the sky.
